Turkey says to continue buying natural gas from Iran

Turkey will continue to buy natural gas from Iran in accordance with a long-term supply deal, Energy Minister Fatih Donmez said on Wednesday, a day after new U.S. sanctions against Tehran took effect.

In an interview on broadcaster A Haber, Donmez said the long-term supply contract with Iran was for 9.5 billion cubic metres and in effect until 2026.
