The recent positive run in the capes has now come to a halt with very little time charter activity to note this week. Rates for one-year moved lower to an average of $23,250/pdpr.

A quiet week for the kamsarmax/panamax sector as the market settled into holiday mode. That said, there has been some activity reported on the Indonesia to China route.

Rates for the smaller sizes remained firm overall this week, with some slight corrections in the Atlantic.
