Cape size period rates have remained muted this week with few fixtures reported.
Following a surprisingly slow start to the month, there has been some renewed interest in the period market for the smaller sizes, with some trades reported in the east.
The ongoing US-China trade dispute has been beneficial for Brazilian soybean exports. According to the U.S. Department of agriculture, the share of Brazil’s soybean exports to China increased to 85% in August.
