In the crude market there has been some interest in short-term VLCC period fixtures although it has been quiet for the rest of the market. The average rate for a VLCC for one-year remains at $24,500/pdpr.

Some short-term timecharter activity in the clean market for MR s and LR2s ranging from three months to one-year, although rates remain low.

Oil prices have slipped slightly this week as oil and product inventories continue to build and the short-term demand outlook remains weak.
