Bulkers: Mid-age Supramax BCs have decreased in response to recent deals. Mid age Capesize have increased owing to strong sale prices of HL Imabari and Santa Lucia Last week. Capesize vessels over 18YO have decreased owing to falling scrap rates (vessels of this age range currently have a higher scrap value than market value, hence scrap value takes precedence)

Capesize BC Yuan Fu Star (175,200 DWT, Dec 2011, Jiangsu Rongsheng) sold to unknown Middle Eastern buyers for USD 23 mil, VV Value USD 22.73 mil
Post Panamax BC AOM Elena (106,500 DWT, Mar 2010, Oshima) sold to unknown Indonesian buyers for USD 20.50 mil, VV Value USD 19.69 mil
Supramax BC Star Globe (56,900 DWT, May 2010, Taizhou Kouan) sold to undisclosed buyers for USD 11.20 mil, VV Value USD 12.65 mil
Supramax BC Sky Globe (56,900 DWT, Nov 2009-May 2010, Taizhou Kouan) sold to undisclosed buyers for USD 10.70 mil, VV Value USD 12.28 mil
Tankers: Tanker values remained mostly stable this week, aside from the softening of older VLCC tonnage
Handy Chemical Scarlet Ibis (46,700 DWT, Jan 2004, Iwagi Zosen) sold to Unknown Chinese buyers for USD 15.00 mil (SS/DD Due), VV Value USD 17.04
Containers: Secondhand values depreciated c.0.9% for Post Panamax, Panamax and Feedermax. Sub Panamax and Handy depreciated c.0.5%
