Bulkers: Bulker values have decreased for mid-age Capesizes owing to low sale price of vessels such Suigo. Supramax and Handysize mid-age values have increased owing to higher sale prices achieved for recent sales, listed below
Capesize BC Suigo (174,800 DWT, Nov 2011, Namura) sold to unknown Greek buyers for USD 24 mil, VV Value USD 25.9 mil – Low price achieved due to smaller 175k DWT
Panamax BC Nord Sun (82,100 DWT, Nov 2013, Tsuneishi Cebu) sold to unknown Greek buyers for USD 22 mil, VV Value USD 22.2 mil
Supramax BC Helian Song (56,900 DWT, Dec 2011, Tianjin Xingang) sold to undisclosed buyers for USD 13.10 mil, VV Value USD 12.18 mil
Handy BC Glorious Jupiter (26,100 DWT, May 2013, Shin Kurushima) sold DD Passed to undisclosed buyers for USD 13.70, VV Value USD 12.23 mil
Tankers: Older Aframax values have decreased again due to recent deals
LR2 PS Venezia (109,00 DWT, Aug 2010, Hudong Zhonghua) sold to Premuda for USD 37.50 mil (DD Due), VV Value USD 40.17 mil
Containers: Secondhand values depreciated c.4.5% for 10YO Post Panamax, Sub Panamax, and Handy’s. 10YO ULCV and New Panamax decreased 1.9%
