WFW advices Viking Line on M/v ro-ro “Mega Regina” bareboat hire/purchase agreement

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has advised Finnish shipping company Viking Line Abp (“Viking Line”) on the negotiation of a bareboat hire/purchase agreement relating to the M/v ro-ro vessel “Mariella”, now renamed “Mega Regina”, with France’s Corsica Ferries S.A.S. (“Corsica Ferries”) and the subsequent nomination of Forship S.p.A. as disponent owner of the vessel.

WFW also advised Viking Line on the transfer of the Mega “Regina” from the Finnish Registry into the 1st Section of the International Ships Registry held with the Port Authority of Genoa.

The “Mega Regina” will have the lowest fuel consumption per passenger in the large Corsica Ferries fleet.

The Italian WFW Maritime team advising Viking Line was led by Partner Michele Autuori, assisted by Associates Beatrice D’Amato, Sergio Napolitano and Noemi D’Alessio.
