World’s largest container ship to arrive at Colombo on 5th

The world’s largest container ship Ever Ace is scheduled to arrive at the Port of Colombo on the 5th of this month.

The 400 meters long and 62 meters wide ship has a capacity of 23,992 containers, which is slightly more than other, similar-sized vessels.

The vessel, which was added to the container carrier Evergreen last July, was built in 2021 and currently sailing under the flag of Panama.

The ship has sailed from Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands last month and is arriving at the Port of Colombo.

There are only 24 ports in the world with the capacity to handle such large ships and South Asia has one, the Port of Colombo.
