ASBA Election of the 2020 Officers and Directors

The Association of Ship Brokers & Agents (USA) Inc. (ASBA), established in 1934 to advance and foster the ideals and standards of personal and professional conduct and practices for member ship brokers and agents, is delighted to announce its 2020 slate of Officers and Directors.

On January 30, 2020, at ASBA’s Annual Meeting, Arthur R. Savage, President of A.R. Savage & Son, LLC, was elected as President having served as Director, 2nd Vice President and 1st Vice President starting in 2012. Mr. Savage is a long-time member and has been an active participant on the Association’s Agency Affairs Committee.

Patrick Brennan of Poten & Partners, 1st Vice President, Ray Hornosky of North Harbour Shipping, 2nd Vice President, David Chenowith of Host Agency, Treasurer, and out-going President now Ex-Officio, Paul Hirtle of N.W. Johnsen & Co. complete the Executive Committee.

The following gentlemen were elected to serve a two year term as Director:

James Black, Moran Shipping Agencies, Inc.

Hans Laue, Gisholt Shipping, Inc.

Robert Pierot, Jacq. Pierot Jr. & Sons, Inc.

Paul Schwack, Dietze & Associates, Inc.

ASBA is delighted that the following Directors will continue to serve in 2020:

Robert Dillon, John F. Dillon & Co.

James Papp, Transmarine Navigation Corporation

Milind Trilokekar, Triworld Shipping Services, Inc.

Brian Vogdes, True North Chartering, LLC

Soren Wolmar, Quincannon Associates, Inc.

ASBA is grateful for the contribution of George “Woody” Woodworth who is stepping down after have served as Director since 2006 and to Jason Kelly who has served as Treasurer since 2014 and implemented procedures that will serve the Association well into the future. Chris Young of Dietze & Associates also departs the Board having served as President and Ex-0fficio.
