China’s June coal output falls 1.2% year-on-year over illegal mining checks
China’s coal output dropped 1.2% in June on the year to 330 million tonnes, official data showed, as major coal mining areas cracked down on illegal mining to improve safety conditions.
For the first half, China churned out 1.81 billion tonnes of coal, up 0.6% year-on-year, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed on Thursday.
