Hapag-Lloyd continues to route ships around Cape of Good Hope

German shipping group Hapag-Lloyd is continuing to route its vessels around the Cape of Good Hope for the time being due to Houthi attacks on ships in the Red Sea, a company spokesperson said on Wednesday.

The company also welcomed the prospect of the German military’s participation in an EU naval mission to protect shipping in the Red Sea, the spokesperson added.
