South Korea’s GS Caltex starts February spot gasoil sales – sources

South Korea’s GS Caltex GSCAL.UL has started offering February-loading spot gasoil cargoes, two sources familiar with the matter said on Wednesday.

The private refiner is offering at least three 10ppm sulphur gasoil cargoes mostly loading in the first-half of February between Feb. 6 and Feb. 17, they added.

The tender closes on Jan. 12, with same-day validity.

There should be more lots available for second-half February as well, but the refiner could be considering gasoil or jet fuel/kerosene production given the current gap in price differentials, one of the two sources said.

Gasoil spot cargoes are still being sold at discounts for both end-January and February, while jet fuel/kerosene cargo deals are at premiums for the end-January loading time, Reuters records showed.
