Routes from Brazil and Australia to China continued to fall as the recent disaster in Brazil continues to have a negative effect on the capesize market.

The panamax period market has seen more activity this week although there appears to be a stand- off between owners’ expectations and charters who are holding off, unwilling to pay more than last done.

The smaller sizes have seen further improvement in activity this week.
