The capesize market continued with the correction phase this week. Very little period activity this week and any interest focused on the short-term as global economic uncertainty persists.

A subdued sentiment for the Kamsarmax/panamax sector this week, rates moved lower in both basins and timecharter activity recorded was mainly around six months and below.

The smaller sizes witnessed some declines in earnings, the average rate for a supramax for six months is currently estimated as $10,875pdpr.
